Photos from Texas
I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to make it to Texas for the celebration. I was able to 'borrow' these pictures from Bill Braswell though. Hope that you are able to enjoy them.
As for our family we are now without a baby gate on the stairs! yeah! Carter can handle the stairs fine now.
The spring in NJ is just beautiful! There are so many blooming trees and bushes. It is breathtaking.

911
I read a good article today on girltalk. I don't know how to put in a cool link that says something other than the site address. Sorry, some day I will take the time to figure that out. Maybe. Anyways, here are some solid thoughts on things like 911 and the sovereignty of God. http://girltalk.blogs.com/girltalk/2008/09/911-and-the-sov.html
Lord willing, tomorrow we will become homeowners again.
I hope to start blogging again soon and keep everyone up to date. hmmm.

Hello Again
I haven't put everything away but here I am blogging anyways. I will say that the great majority of it is put away and we have made great headway. I'm still sorting, rearranging, and generally trying to settle in. I'm getting close. Sometime soon I may even get furniture. In time, it will all come.
This week my sister came to visit. We had a great time talking and shopping. DC is very much closer to North Jersey than it is to Minnesota! Thanks for coming up, Nanc.
Here's some pictures taken in Verona Park. I think that's the name of it...

That took a loooong time!
I can't believe that it is already July 1. That move took almost a full month! Phew! I won't take the time to tell about the entire excruciating move. Who wants to hear that. I'm afraid that I would just sound whiny and it would profit nothing. I will say that this past Monday we were thrilled when we FINALLY got the last of our belongings delivered to our home. I have quite a few claims to file for damaged items and for the cost of the clothes that we had to buy. (Our hanging clothes were in the shipment that arrived this week.)
In the interest of setting my priorities, I will not be blogging until I am completely unpacked and I have the house in good order. Neither of those are currently true.
Or even close to being true!!
Our family continues to adjust to our new surroundings. We very much miss everyone and everybody in Minnesota. I really miss the familiar. Every one in our new church has been great and we do look forward to all the new friendships and putting down roots with the church here.
So-- I need to "do the next thing".

And We're Off...
This has been quite a week.
Saturday was Justin's open house. The weather was hot and sunny. All week (or two weeks, or three weeks?) it has been rainy and cold. Even had one tornado in Hugo, a tornado warning last week, and hail both times. I had thought that the forecasters would get it right with cool and wet. Surprise. But the day went very nicely.
Today was our last day at PRBC. It was a great day. We are a small group, but close. We are very much a family. It was hard to say our tearful goodbyes. I will miss them all greatly. Nineteen years is a long time. We have really put done deep roots in this state. I plan on leaving some of the roots and I am sure of many visits. Dave and I were the last to leave church tonight and I did a 'once through' in the building and we walked around the outside of the building taking in all the changes and of course noting what still needs to be done.
I went to bed and set my alarm for 12:05am and here I am trying to get ready for the movers in the morning. I fear this will be an 'all nighter". I really don't do this kind of thing! After I finish this I will unplug and disconnect the computer.
We will spend a couple of cherished days in Mankato and on Friday tear ourselves away and drive to Michigan to visit family. Then in about one week from now we will make the trek for NJ. There we will see a new life that God has in store for us. We know God holds us firmly in His hand. Please keep us in your prayers.Currently Listening: Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
